FREE LL Bean Fly Casting Class - Distance and Accuracy Techniques
LL Bean instructors will be using our trout pond to teach some beginners fly casting classes this spring and summer. As compensation they have offered the club a limited number of complimentary spaces on their Fly Casting - Distance and Accuracy class.
Members who are interested in attending are asked to email Club President, Dennis Plaster, with their name, phone number, email and street address. More details to follow when levels of interest are known.
Fly Tying Night - Tuesday 7th May
Members will meeting at the clubhouse on the 7th May to eat pizza slices, tie flies and test Tony O'Leary patience. May is streamer month and the group will be tying the Woods Special streamer, the Warden's Worry streamer and if time permits the Maple Syrup nymph.
Tying starts at 6:00pm, get there a little earlier for a slice of pizza.
Members Meeting - Thursday 16th May
The May Monthly Meeting, on 5/16, will feature a talk from guest speaker Ross Kessler. Ross has been putting together his own DIY bonefishing trips for 20 years. He will share with us his passion for this elusive flats fish as well as discuss time of year, tides, gear/packing and budgeting.
A meal will be served to members at 6:30pm and Ross will present to the members after a short agenda is covered.
